Puno is a small city on Peruvian side of the lake Titicaca. From here I did the boattour for two days visiting three  islands. All the islands are touristatractions, but still very peaceful and inhabited by the local people. Every island has it's own character and culture.

First we sailed to the one of the manmade floating islands actually floating on the lake. After we were explained the history and the way of constructing the island we visited the rushhouse of one family and bought some souveniers.

In the afternoon we landed on the island of Amantani which is the second biggest island of Titicaca. There are no hostels on the island, but it is possible to stay with the local  families. There are ten communities on the island and each of them lodge all the tourists on their turn. Therefore every community has visitors every second week. Tourism is important because the people don´t  actually have any other income. They do acriculture just to produce their own food. After walking to the highest point of the island and having vegetarian dinner we dressep up ourselves as locals and went to a party. It was a good idea of the island people to dress up the tourists with traditional clothes and make them dance folkdances instead of just watching.

The next day we just sailed in a sunny weather and visited the third island called Taquile.
