I started to work in that project already last november, but they closed the place in the beginning of December, because of the school holidays. They were supposed to be open again on 8th of January. I went there one week too late, because of my trip, but the place was still closed. Finally we could contact the staff and start working on 23th. That´s the way of life in Bolivia. Everything is flexible, everything can be changed the time is not important. I´m happy that I don´t have to do any serious busineshere.

We work in the afternoons from 2.30 p.m to 6 p.m. The idea is to tutor the kids of the village near Quillacollo (15km from Cocha) with their schoolwork and also offer some other educational activities like teaching the basics of English. The first two weeks after re-opening we studied English with the older kids and played different educational games with the younger ones. The Project also offer the kids some educational material and the snack. They are planning to cook real food in the future. The school strarted on 6th of February and now we basically spendthe most of time doing their homework.

The other part of the project is to help young people who are living permanently or occasionally on the streets and using drugs (clue). My organisacion don't have any center for them, but the aim is to meet these people directly in the streets. They try to convince them to leave the streets and move to one of those centers. They are also arranging them certifications of birth and other ID's, medical aid and support in the legal matters. I didn't feel myself very useful in this part of the project due to lack of knowledge and infrequency of the visits to the streets. Anyway I get to know the way of life and problems of the people living in the streets (500 in Cochabamba).
