There are big number of mountainpeaks higher than 5000m in Bolivia. Today we decided to climb one of them, Cerro Tunari which is the nearest high mountain to Cochabamba. We started the trip at 7 a.m. in the morning from Cochabamba by a public minivan (Trufi). From the nearest city called Quillacollo we rented the private transportation, because there is no other way to go to that mountain. Trufi took us to 4500m and at 11 a.m we could start climbing the mountain with many peaks. The weather was nice and the walk was pleasant until the final climb to the actual peak (the highest). Only two of us couldn't do the snowy and rocky climb to the top. The others could enjoy the beautiful views and sunny weather on the top of the mountain at 5035m. The climb is not technical, but the high altitude makes it a little bit challenging. My last climb was difficult and I couldn't breathe well so today I took two pills to prevent the symptoms of the altitudesickness.  We arrived at home in the evening after a long, but rewarding day.
